A living band above the Claude Code prompt, fed by Claude's work. Eleven scenes, each with its own sound: every tool call is a fish, a star, a wagon, a note. This page runs the mod's own scenes and plays its own sounds, so what you see and hear is what you get in the terminal.

What else it does
The weather can be the real sky
/ambient weather istanbul makes the weather scene follow the sky over a place: clear, cloud, rain, snow or thunder, day or night, with the place and the temperature in the corner. The sound follows it too. Claude's failed calls still storm on top. /ambient weather auto takes the city of your time zone.
Weather data by Open-Meteo.com. The mod asks nothing of the network until you name a place.
One session plays, however many are open
Ten terminals do not make ten rainstorms. The session you last used plays the bed; the others fall silent within two seconds, and one of them takes over when it ends. The short sounds of calls stay each session's own. A bed loops with no gap: each play crosses into the next.
Switches under the prompt
In the fullscreen terminal and the desktop app, a row under the hint line turns the band on and off, shows it always or only while Claude works, makes it shorter or taller, turns the sound on and off, sets the volume and opens the scene picker, with a click. You pick what the row holds: /ambient hint volume off, or the picker.
The bonsai grows a little with every finished turn and is still there next week; it wears the season on your clock. The skyline is built from the day's edits and starts over each morning. The city and the weather know night from day.

How the sound is made
Nothing here is a recording. Every bed and every chime is synthesized from arithmetic: filtered noise for rain and fire, plucked partials for bells and kalimbas, a little room around them. The whole lofi loop is eight bars written as numbers.
A tool call's kind picks its note on a pentatonic scale, so a turn of Claude's work is a small tune. However many sessions you have open, one plays the bed: the one you last used.
